If you like your current plan, you can sign up for it again. However, remember—you must enroll to receive benefits for 2020. Your 2019 benefits will NOT roll over.

The District has made the decision to stop contributing into the HealthFund (HRA) beginning in 2019. In place of the HealthFund (HRA), the District is implementing the Premium Support Program. This program will assist in the lowering of monthly premiums for all staff participating in the 2019 Health Plan. Individuals who have a remaining HealthFund balance will be allowed access to those balances until they are exhausted.
This year, the IRS has increased the maximum amount that you can contribute to a health care flexible spending account (FSA) to $2,700. That means you can set aside even more money for medical expenses without paying income tax on it.
Effective January 1, 2019, LabCorp will be an additional preferred lab with Aetna. You will be able to choose from Quest Diagnostics, LabCorp or any of the hundreds of other labs in Aetna's network.
