Good to know

Everything you need to learn about your options and build a benefits package that fits your budget and your life is presented here on this site.

Getting started

First, check the eligibility requirements to make sure you’re eligible. This page also explains how to verify dependents and how our plan meets the guidelines of the Affordable Care Act.

For a quick and easy way to see how your options add up, try our Price your plan tool. The Compare your options tool gives you side-by-side comparisons of some of the plan highlights and prices.

If you prefer to print information to make your choices, you can download the benefits guide or this handy comparison chart.

Enrollment tips
  • If you’re new to the district, wait for your email invitation to enroll. If you don’t receive an invitation within 15 working days of your first day at work, please call Benefits Outlook at 866-222-KISD (5473). Please wait until you've received your first paycheck to call.
  • Be sure to submit your benefit elections before the enrollment deadline. Once you’re enrolled, or if you miss the deadline, you are not eligible to make changes to your benefits until the next annual enrollment period, unless you experience a qualified life event.
  • Check your confirmation statement, available online. If it’s incorrect, call Benefits Outlook immediately at 866-222-KISD (5473).

After you enroll

You should receive a confirmation statement at your home address in early December. Make sure that information is accurate. If it’s not, you can make corrections by calling Benefits Outlook.

Check your check

Check the benefits deductions on your first paycheck in 2019. If they aren’t accurate based on the elections you made, call Benefits Outlook at 866-222-KISD (5473) as soon as you can.
